About SOI UK

The School of Images^® United Kingdom (SOI UK) was created in 2014 as an extension of the main School of Images^® based in New York City. Presently, SOI UK is under the leadership of Samantha Smallwood-Pounds, joined by UK-based Certified Practitioners  Tiffany Stephens, Diana Maniati and DreamBirth^® Certified Practitioner, Emily Housman.  We are supported by a large international community of practitioners and teachers.

The School of Images^® was founded by Dr. Catherine Shainberg in 1982 and is now a New York-based institute and global network of study centers that guide us to use the power of dream images and imagination for transformational purposes. Grounded in the ancient Kabbalah of Light, SOI integrates ancient wisdom and teachings with modern Western knowledge and techniques to catalyze creative manifestation at all levels, in all areas of life, including personal, professional, communal, and global.  You can delve more deeply into this work by visiting tis page, About SOI

Over the years, several members of the UK community have become Certified Practitioners and senior teachers in the School of Images and offer their services both internationally and within the UK, closer to home and often live and in person.

UK-based students have been studying and training with Catherine Shainberg and with SOI UK since it was founded, and our Certified Practitioners are available for online private sessions and workshops. In-person private sessions and workshops are made available at specified times and for specific events and notification of these can be found on this website when relevant.

We study and practice the life-changing techniques SOI offers such as Saphire^® Imagery, DreamOpening^® and other unique, powerful methods for creating transformational dialogue between the conscious and the subconscious. This work has helped thousands of students and private clients over the years in the UK, the US and at SOI’s other international locations.

SOI UK | Local and Connected

The School of Images^® United Kingdom (SOI UK) was created in 2014 as an extension of the main School of Images® based in New York City.

The School in the UK is a ‘hub’ that helps those interested in accessing and using their images, dreams and imaginations in the deep work of accessing the truth of who we are and in manifesting that truth as it becomes revealed to us through this work. This work is both simple and revelatory.

SOI  UK is a platform to host Catherine’ Shainberg’s seminars as well as workshops, courses, local events, and more that introduce, explore, and support participants in this work. We offers these online and on occasion, live in the Bath and central London areas of the UK.

SOI UK also collaborates with SOI’s international network of exceptional teachers and Certified Practitioners to make available all of the online opportunities available through SOI and its eight other international centers.  This work is exciting, interesting and deeply transformative.

Our UK-based Practitioners as well as many extraordinary English-speaking Practitioners from around the world are available for one-on-one private sessions, both via Zoom and locally on a more limited basis for in person-to-person sessions, all of which can be arranged through this website.

Lastly, in cooperation with SOI in NY, we work with UK students to prepare and support those who are are interested in becoming Certified Practitioners. SOI offers programs in Saphire^® Imagery for teaching and practice; DreamBirth^® certification programs; classes, workshops, and special events; and private sessions.

The Saphire^® Imagery and DreamOpening^® techniques of SOI are quick and easy, and their impact instantaneous.  As is the case with all  profound traditions, the work takes practice. Working with both individuals who are interested in self-development and expanding their consciousness, and with students who wish to become teachers and practitioners in the tradition, SOI practitioners and teachers facilitate the opportunity to practice and master these techniques meaningfully, effectively, respectfully and responsibly.

How Saphire^® Imagery Works

Saphire^® Imagery, the unique form of exercises developed by Catherine Shainberg, uses short, quick and distinctive imaginal exercises that push aside the chattering mind to allow us to plunge into the subconscious. This inner gazing permits us to access our inner truth, which is revelatory and transformative, and opens up the dialogue of our conscious mind with the subconscious. To do this one doesn’t use words. Instead, one uses images.

Our images reveal truths about ourselves to ourselves. Every aspect of life as we explore it this way changes because it bypasses our thinking minds – our egos, really – to free us to see and live in the truth of who we are. It creates an altogether different kind of dialogue between the conscious and the subconscious that changes the way we experience ourselves and our lives, and how we engage with others as a result.

This work reveals to us our own inner light of creation and shows us that we are, indeed, co-creators with the world.
